TEDx Des Moines 2011

TEDx DES MOINES 2011

Creators, catalysts, entrepreneurs, artists, technologists, designers, scientists, thinkers, and doers from central Iowa gathered on June 26th, 2011 to share what they are most passionate about — positive ideas for the world from Des Moines.

During the independently organized TED event, visual recordings of speaker content were sketched by Jocelyn Wallace, done live and in real-time.

The visuals were displayed and shared at the event in two ways:

1) Shared Real-Time on Twitter. While speakers presented, Jocelyn shared the visuals via Twitter using the hashtag #TedXDSM and @TedxDesMoines. This allowed participants to follow the stream on their mobile devices and re-tweet or share them to their networks.

2) Displayed on Large Screens: During intermissions the visuals were displayed on large screens for all participants to see. This created quite a buzz, encouraging more engagement and interaction with the speaker content they just heard.

It’s not too late to share visuals worth spreading! See one you like? Share it to your networks! Click on an image below to share it.
